The building of Al-Qibli masjed is located on the southern side of the Al-Aqsa masjed, which is 142 dunums. The area of Al-Qibli masjed building is 4,500 square meters. It was built by the Caliph Abd al-Malik ibn Marwan al-Umawi and completed by al-Walid bin Abdul-Malik in 705 AD, It is 55 meters wide and now stands on 53 marble columns and 49 square-shaped square. Abu Jaafar al-Mansur was ordered to take off and spend dinars on the masjed, and in the early eleventh century, repaired some of its parts and made its dome and northern doors.
